About those goals…

Remember that last post about those 9 hours of exercise I was supposed to get in? Yeah. Well, I’ve been sick since Thursday and the only exercise I’ve done since then is walk down to the laundry room and back. Sadly that left me winded because hi, I can’t really breathe over here. Somebody bring me my Vicks.

In all honesty, I’m not sure how much working out I would have done this weekend if I weren’t sick anyway. It was horrifically hot here all weekend. And, yes 90 degrees means horrifically hot to me. If I lived some place where it was hot all the time like this…I’d probably want to shoot myself. Seriously…how do you Southerners do it? I have NO energy when it’s hot.

One good thing about being sick was that I did manage to finish the last few books in the series my Grams got me for Christmas. I must say I was a little skeptical about the whole thing during the first book, but I really ended up loving the series. It was quite interesting reading about the Amish and their traditions. And, I really think the Amish way of courting is romantic. Oh…how I wish a beau would ask me to ride along with him in his open carriage buggy after Sunday night singin’s. We could sit “ever so close” and enjoy eachother’s company as we rode down the dirt roads under the cover of night. *sigh*

OKAY…so moving on. This weeks fitness goals. I think I’ll just try to do what I wanted to do last week since I’m still feeling pretty much dead today.

Walk: 40 min / 3 times this week
Run: 25 min / 4 times
Bike: 50 min / 4 times
Swim: 30 min / 2 times
Weight Lifting: 20-25 min /3 times
Other:

Total hours of exercise: 9

You can do it!

I ran 3 miles yesterday. Umm. . . .how on earth will I get from 3 to 26? = 0

Thanks, Bee!

I hate running. It’s my least favorite thing to do, and I keep putting it off. I’m in awe that you will be doing a marathon!

How much are you training for that?

Comment by Shelly

I’m training with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I joined their five month training program.

I’m supposed to run 6-8 miles next week. That is almost half a marathon! = 0

I hate running too. Even though I was at my thinnest when I was doing it… it’s just not my thing. I will never, ever enjoy it.

Ugh.
